There’s something odd about the boy living in the cubard under  the stairs on number 4, Privet Drive—strange things always seemed to happen around him…it’s almost like magic. But there’s no such thing as magic, is there? Hello,Potterheads! I’m excited to help new witches and wizards discover their inner magic by describing this amazing book series! I felt like I just had to start with the Harry Potter series as my first entry, because it is my favorite book series in the history of the world and happens to be a very personal part of my life. I was introduced to the Wizarding World a little over three years ago, and I fell in love. The story follows Harry Potter and his companions, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, as they rival against the Dark Lord Voldemort, and on the way, they may learn a couple of valuable life- lessons as well. Book One, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, starts when Harry Potter, a scrawny young orphan mistreated by his aunt and uncle, suddenly finds out he is a wizard who is to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. However, that is not the only bombshell that is dropped on him-he finds out that he is also famous in the wizarding world, and his parents died sacrificing themselves for him against the Dark Lord Voldemort, therefor draining his powers. But there is trouble at Hogwarts, something dark is happening, will Harry and his new friends find a way to stop it before it’s too late?  The trio’s adventures are divided into seven books, along with an original screenplay: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which premiered in July of 2016. Jo(J.K.) Rowling, a personal inspiration to me, did a fantastic job in creating this tale full of quests, unexpected twists, friendship, and magic, as well as many Easter eggs hidden in between. If you still can’t get enough of the boy who lived by the end of the series, make sure to also be on the lookout for the new “Fantastic Beasts” franchise, which is due to have 5 movies screen-written by J.K.Rowling herself. Fantastic Beasts and Where to find them premiered on November 18,2016, and Fantastic Beasts and the Crimes of Grindlewald is due to come out November 16,2018. Also be sure to get the works of Jim Kay’s new illustrated copies as well as lots of merchandise that can be found at Barnes And Nobles or Amazon. Harry Potter will literally change your life, you will make new friends and build many different relation ships from it, all because you chose to believe in the magic, and I promise you your Harry Potter experience will never leave you, no matter what. It will stay with you and in your heart ALWAYS, through any hard situation or number of years, it will serve as a place of comfort. I hope you look into it, Hogwarts awaits!

                  ~FUN FACTS!~

  • The Philosopher’s Stone, the first book in the Harry Potter series, was rejected 12 times before it was published in 1997 in the United Kingdom. The United States’s version, “The Sorcerer’s Stone,” was published in 1998.(I don’t know about you,but I would not be happy with myself if I were one of those people who turned Harry Potter down, I’d probably still be sitting in regret.)
  • Author J.K.Rowling came up with the name of the Hogwarts school houses off of the back of a barf bag. (Why? I have no idea.)
  • The idea of the Wizard sport of Quidditch came to J.K.Rowling after an intense fight with her  boyfriend at a pub, when she was wishing she had something to throw at his head.(So,to sum it up, it is best to stay on her GOOD SIDE)

                 WICKED! (As Ron would say)

I hope you look into this thrilling, magical, book series; Feel free to comment and may Hogwarts ALWAYS be there to welcome you home.
