- Happy 2019! Sorry I have not posted for a while, but with the holidays and exams it’s been hard to find time. Plus books and fanfiction have been causing me to procrastinate lol. Anyways, thank you to the 7 people currently following this site. I know, I’m famous already. 😉

Genre: Romance
Author: Julie Buxbaum
For Ages 13 and up
Life for Jessie Holmes has changed in a very big way in the last few months. Her dad suddenly elopes with a woman who 1) Jessie has never met once in her life, 2) Does not seem to like Jessie that much, although the feeling is mutual, and 3) Lives all the way across the country in L.A. Hello, California. *que pitiful jazzhands* It doesn’t really help that her new stepbrother is a total jerk and refuses to speak to her, leaving Jessie having to navigate a new high school alone….or does she? A week into this high school of doom, Jessie receives an anonymous letter from the mysterious person who calls himself “Somebody, Nobody” or S/N for short. S/N offers to help Jessie with all her high school problems, like what to buy from the school cafeteria menu, (which sucks) who to befriend and who to stay away from, and the best ways to stay alive in this hunger games arena. Soon S/N and Jessie have developed a close friendship. There’s just one problem: he still won’t reveal himself. The more they email, the more curious Jessie grows to figuring out S/N’s identity. Is it Caleb, the boy in the grey sweatshirt who always sends mixed signals? Liam, everyone’s California dream-boy, with his blonde hair and precious guitar? Is it Ethan, her silent and seemingly dangerous English partner? Jessie isn’t sure, but she knows one thing: she must find out who S/N is. This hilarious, adorable story by Julie Buxbaum was probably the best book I read last year. Maybe one of the best standalone books I’ve ever read. Why? Ethan Marks. My friends have an inside joke about how I may be the tiniest bit in love with this character. Because that’s perfectly normal. I’m not crazy. I think. Anyways, if you’re looking for a book that will make you laugh and feel all warm inside, this is right for you. In honor of this post, here are three things about myself: 1) My friend group and I have a tradition of telling each other three things before going to bed. 2) This is my second time writing this post because the computer crashed after I spent two hours working on it and didn’t even save the draft. It was extremely annoying. 3) I have a weird habit of re-reading books so many times that it may seem slightly unhealthy. But I have found that every time you re-read a book, you find a new detail of foreshadowing or clues that you didn’t see before. It’s kind of cool, actually.

~FUN FACTS~
•Author Julie Buxbaum’s childhood dream was to become wonder woman. Me too, sister. Me too.
•Buxbaum’s inspiration for Tell Me Three Things was an anonymous email she received once. Sometimes things happen for just the right reasons. She still has no idea who the sender of her email was, however.
• Buxbaum relates to both Jessie and Kit, her two main female roles in both of her current young adult books, as both have lost a parent. She too lost her mother at age 14.
Hope you enjoyed this post and look into this amazing book! I promise to write more soon, and more frequently lol.
